Thirdly, There is a personal application. These letters apply to us individually. Every letter ends with: let he that hath an ear hear what the spirit says”. If you have an ear, it applies to you. And, at different times in your life, you may be facing same issues these churches faced in your personal spiritual life such as Lack of love for God. Fourthly, these letters speak of prophecy. For us most of what we read is history, but for people at that time it was prophecy. We are living at the end of the church age. There are also 4 patterns seen in each letter.
