The “Its”of Life

“When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, Deuteronomy 7:1

This week I want to encourage you in your walk with Christ. How many of you have struggles in your life? Are there difficulties in your spiritual life? Are you worried about an unsaved loved one? Perhaps a spouse? A child? Are you in a difficult marriage? Are you bogged down with worry & fear? Are there financial difficulties? Is your health failing you or is a loved one sick? Is the task God As it was for Israel, We have a lot of “ites” in our way. But, our hope is Jesus. God promised Israel the promised land, and as he spoke to Moses in the above verse, he speaks in the past tense as though it is a done deal. Your difficulties are real just like enemies of Israel. The nations were stronger, bigger, more organized, had more experience in warfare than the Israelites. But that was in comparison to Jews not in comparison to God. No matter how impossible your situation seems, remember battle is not yours but God’s. Once you accept Jesus as your savior, you are guaranteed to be in the promised land. It is DONE. Victory is yours as long as you walk in obedience and in faith. Yes, Jews had to walk through the wilderness, and yes they did fight the battle however these strong nations were defeated. So what is your “ites” that is weighing you down like giant sitting on you? Give it to God, In Jesus, we already have a victory. Amen
