Presence of God

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
GENESIS 28:16 NASB

Are you going through difficult time? Do you wonder sometimes why God has abondon you? Why God has allowed certain circumstances in your life? Jacob was running from his brother who was out to kill him.He never thought he would have to leave his home & travel to a foreign land. Issac was rich and up to now Jacob had lived a comfortable life. Suddenly, he finds himself facing uncertain future. He is sleeping on hard cold stone in middle of no where and it is on that dark night, Jacob sees God. Many times it takes such circumstances for us to notice God too. You see, sun is always shining with same power & heat but on a cloudy day, you don’t feel the heat nor do you see the brightness of sun. Just like that sometime we need to remove the clouds of ego self righteousness pride to see God. Like Jacob, many of us need to find ourselves between rock and hard place, facing uncertain future to see God. Do you feel God is NO WHERE maybe you just need to remove the clouds and you will say God is NOW HERE. This is a true story. A Muslim woman from radical family in Syria who accepted Christ cried out to Jesus, where were you all my life. Answer came back, I was here all along, it took a war for you to notice me. God is hovering over you, won’t you Accept him today?
