and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith,
I Thessalonians 3:2 NKJV
Last week we looked at the first part of this verse and learned what our relationship should be with fellow believers. The second part of the verse teaches us Our Responsibility to other believers. Paul in all his letters was always concerned about the faith of people he ministered to. He was not worried about their health or wealth, nor was he worried about growth in numbers, He always went to the heart of matter which was, are you growing in faith. We too are to be concerned about our family, friends and those we have shared Gospel with. As paul writes here, our first concern should be, Are they established in Faith? To put it simply, have they accepted Jesus as savior? Remember just because they are Christian & belong to church does not mean they are saved. The second thing we are to do is Encourage each other in our walk with Christ. We are each other’s support system.Remember, even our pastors needs Encouragement. So, this week be alert and look for those opportunities to share the Gospel and to encourage a Brother or sister in Christ. May God use us all for His Glory. Amen
