Mother, Just love

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV

Motherhood is a blessing. It is a great responsibility with awesome rewards. Mom influences a children’s life like no other person on earth. It is not easy being a mom especially in today’s world. There are so many things pulling at you. There is work, home, family, in many cases the father is absence and you are raising a child on your own. All of it can be so overwhelming. There is also the pressure of TV mom’s who manage all of it so easily. And numerous advice on raising a child so you don’t ruin them for life. All these expectation can weigh you down. We all know, none of us are perfect parents.We all have made mistakes. Paul tells us, we are earthly vessels, imperfect being but Jesus is the treasure we have inside us. His power shines through our weakness. When you look at earthly vessels, they are made out of clay, not all are shaped the same, they are muddy, dirty, might even have cracks but it is through those imperfection, Jesus’s light shines through. It is He, who empowers you to deal with all the pressure of being a mom. God does not expect us to be perfect , it is the world that puts that pressure on us and make us feel guilty when we mess up. As mother/ parent, all we need to do is LOVE. It says love covers multitudes of sin. Make sure your treasure is Jesus. He will guide you into perfect love. And, it his love that covers our sins. Be encouraged moms, just love your child and let them see Jesus in you. Mom who has the treasure of Jesus is The perfect Mom. Hope you have a blessed mother’s day. Amen
