Last week I talked about 3W’s. Today, I like to discuss 3C’s.
Content: In the age we live in, It is so difficult to be content. World just drives us to seek more,do more. Constantly, we are told you need bigger, better, smarter, faster Etc. But Bible tells us to be content because If we are not content it leads us to covet.
Covetness: The 10th commandment tells us, Do not Covet because when you covet, you break the 4 commandments that come before it. It is our covetness that leads us to kill, steal, bear false witness commit adultery. so it is imperative you learn to be content. Paul here teaches us a great truth, He had to learn how to be content. Many of us think, once we accept Christ, we don’t need to do anything but as you see paul who wrote half of NT, he had to learn certain things. I ask you what is it that you need to learn? Do you need to be more faithful? control anger? jealousy? learn to be less anxious? learn to be more obedient? more loving? worry less? more prayerful? So how do you learn? Paul tells us how to in few verse later.
