6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
King Uzziah did what was right in the sight of the God. He reigned in Judah for 52 years, and during his reign, there was prosperity, safety & security, borders expanded, and the army was well trained. He reorganized, refortified and rejuvenated the kingdom. Things were good but notice Isaiah saw God when the king died. Who is the King Uzziah in your life? Or what is a King Uzziah in your life that is preventing you from seeing the God? Your Uzziah could be your Spouse, your Pastor, a godly mentor, your CHURCH but until your Uzziah is less important to you than God is, you will never see the LORD. As long as Uzziah was on the throne, Isaiah did not notice the Lord on the throne. We too do not see the hand of God in our life until God removes our Uzziah. And, he will remove it so we can see him in his Glory. Sometimes, Church is our Uzziah. We are so busy serving the church, we do not see God tucking at us telling us to go in a different direction. Sometimes we think it is our job that is the source of prosperity, security, and expansion but in reality, it is God who is blessing you. I am sure when Uzziah died, Isaiah felt anxiety, what is going to happen now but it is when we are down and things are hopeless that is when we see God. Read the rest of chapter 6, it is a beautiful portion of scripture. Lord, I pray for all of us that remove the Uzziah from our lives. Lord we just want to focus on you and see you on the throne in your full glory. Lord use us for your ministry and help us to remember you are the source of our every blessing. Amen
