Fiery Furnace

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
Daniel 3:18 NKJV

Most of you are familiar with this text. Shadrach, mechach & Abed nego were in Babylon along with Daniel. The book of Daniel is an amazing book which speaks of Christ triumphant entry into Jerusalem as well as the time of tribulation and Anti-Christ. Daniel along with Joseph is the only other major prophet in Bible for whom no sin is mentioned. But I want to draw your attention to the lesson these 3 other young men teach us about true faith. They refused to bow down & worship a false God. BTW, just a side note, Daniel is type of church and the fiery furnace speaks of the time of tribulation after the rapture of the church. This is why Daniel is not in the furnace but 3 men are because they are type for the Jews. Anyway, here they are facing a certain death and they have faith that God will deliver them but *EVEN* if he does not they are ok with it. *do we trust God like this?* what is the furnace u are facing? It is easy for us to talk faith when things go our way but what if the loved one we are praying for dies? What if you don’t get the job you praying for? Our faith should not depend on results. We should have conviction in our faith. Some of you may say, Ajay you know it is easy to write this, real life is different. So let me share this with you, I had no verse to write this week & as I was praying, God led me to this verse, very next day I got some bad news. Something, I was praying to God for but the out was totally opposite from what I was asking for.i can throw myself a pity party, maybe pout about how unfair God is Etc. Instead God had already showed me what was expected. Are you going to waiver or get stronger in your faith? So like me you might be in furnace and we may not know the outcome but I know My God, he is faithful & just. Pray without ceasing but remember this verse *Even if not* do not be discouraged. Don’t settle for *good* when he wants to give you *best*. Amen
