Are you Born Again?

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:3 NKJV
Yesterday, I attended a funeral for my Uncle. As most of you can attest, you meet many family & friends you have not seen in a long time at such an occasion. It was good to see old friends, some I had not seen in over 20 years. We shared memories of the days long gone when we were all little thinner, younger, had a full head of hair. All of us wondering, where did the years ago. As I was reflecting on the last couple of days, my thoughts turned to Heaven, imagine how wonderful it is going to be to meet friends & family. Our loved once who are long gone. Some of us lost our parents at a young age, some may have lost child at a young age, all those people who crossed our path and are forgotten. We are going to reunite with them all. As we were reminiscing about the old days, all the talk was about good times, I am sure we had a difference of opinion, we may have fought as teenagers, we might even have stopped talking for a while, but no one remembered any of that. It will be the same in heaven, all the pain, suffering, trials will be forgotten. No aches, pains, no extra pounds, all will be in the Glorified body. Which one of us does not want to go to heaven?
Everyone reading this believes they are going to heaven, but the truth of the matter is, some are headed for hell. You see you do not need an invitation to attend a funeral, but you do need an invite to participate in a wedding. Many of us feel, we will enter heaven since we are born in a Christian family, baptized, go to church regularly, are an active member may even be in leadership, tithe regularly, read the Bible, pray. Some of us have baptized our young children thinking that makes them Christian. I am sorry to disappoint you. God has set one way to get into heaven, and that is Jesus. As we read in the above verse. Unless you are born again, you will not make it to heaven. This is not my condition. Forgive me if you feel, I am harsh, but this is the only way. Don’t take my word for it, read for yourself. If you have not accepted Christ do it today. Repent of your sin, make Jesus your Lord & Savior. Believing in Jesus is not enough, saying God knows my heart is not enough if you are a person who says, my relationship with Jesus is private, you have no relationship with him. Baptism means nothing without acceptance first. You must confess and accept Jesus. You must make him your Lord & Master I want to see all of you in heaven,won’t you accept Christ today?
