And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
Exodus 32:4 NKJV
LQBTQ agenda is at the center of church controversy today. And no matter what side of the aisle you are on it invokes powerful emotions. For those of us who are against it, we just don’t understand how those who are supposed to know & teach scriptures can be so misguided on this subject. As you read the above verse, it was the same kind of crisis in the Israelites camp. Moses was on the mountain and people were getting anxious, and they came to Aaron looking for an answer & guidance. Aaron like some pastors today totally screwed up. Instead of showing them the error of their way and telling them about true God, he chose to please them when he should have corrected/ rebuked them. Aaron was with Moses as they spoke to Pharaoh. He was there when God spoke to Moses. He was the first-hand witness to all the miracles. Matter a fact, he was on the mountain with Moses and saw God (Exodus 24). Yet, he is the one who created a Golden calf, and many died because of his actions. We can not create God according to our understanding. He is the one who has set the standard, and we just submit to it. We are not the Judge of the Bible, we can not just believe some of it and eliminate the parts we don’t like. So many of us see the error of those who support same-sex marriage & sin of homosexuality BUT do we recognize the sins in our life? Homosexuality is the “sin of the day,” but it is just one of the SINS, and is no different than any other sins mentioned in the Bible. You might not have a problem with homosexuality but how are you doing with pride? Jealousy? Covetness? Greed? Lying? Like those who support the LQBTQ agenda have you created a God that excuses your sin? Remember, God does not rank sins nor does he excuse them. The same Grace that is available to us is there for those who have a misguided view of gender. Let’s pray they come to know the truth of the scripture. And let us all self examine that we do not fall in the same trap but always walk in obedience to Gods word. Amen
