One Afternoon I received this message on my phone as I was trying to finish up piles of work gathered on my desk. I quickly glanced at it, and when I read 99% person can not solve it, my ego got better of me, and for the next few minutes, I tried to find the horse. As hard as I tried, I did not see the horse. After a while, I forgot about it and got back to work. A few days later, as I was going through my messages, once again, I came across this picture, and I was determined to solve it. I was twisting my phone, looking at it sideways, looking at the background, and despite all that, I could not see it. Eventually, a couple of days later, I solved it.
Sometimes God works fantastically; I could not stop thinking about this picture, which prompted me to write this. How many times we see a frog when God is actually giving us a horse. When I figured out the picture, I realized my focus was at the wrong place. Most times, our focus is not on Jesus, but rather the world, and all we see are frogs ( they mostly live in swaps muddy water ) instead of Beautiful horses ( they are galloping on open lush fields). Peter stepped out of the boat when his focus was on Jesus and walked on water. As soon as his focus changed, he started to sink. Joshua & Caleb saw victory when the rest saw giants, when Soul’s army saw Goliath, a giant who can not be defeated, David show just a man who could not defeat his God.
Today on this Thanksgiving day, do you feel discouraged? Do you feel like you have nothing to thank God for? Maybe be you are overwhelmed by the cooking you have to do before everyone shows up or worried about the traffic or the people you are going to sit and eat dinner with. Has the burden of life gotten you down? Is there financial stress? Has your son or daughter become rebellious? Is there a strain in your relationship with your spouse, parents, friend? Sometimes it just seems like there is nothing to thank God for. It is at a time like this we should thank God the most. Instead of focusing on all the wrong stuff, change your focus, and God will show you how many things you should be thankful for.
Change your “ATTITUDE,” and you will see reasons for “GRATITUDE” all around you. We, as Christians, should be thankful every day. He loved us so much he gave his only begotten Son that we may have everlasting life. People named above from the Bible were ordinary men, but they could do extraordinary things focusing on God. Despite what your circumstances may be, as impossible of a situation as it might seem, put your faith & focus on Jesus, and he will give you victory just like David was victorious.
Getting back to the picture, once I changed my focus now, no matter how hard I try, I only see a horse. I really have to search for a frog. Once you get Jesus in you, Hallelujah, no matter how hard Satan may try, he will not have victory. Psalm 34: 8 says taste and see Lord is good.
Taste, and I will guarantee, you will have a heart of thanksgiving and praise. A thankful heart has nothing to do with material things but rather inner peace, which can only come from the Lord. Look what Paul says as he is sitting in prison.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
